The Versa Ring

As a firefighter, finding a wedding ring that offers the safety of silicone while maintaining the functionality and style of a metal ring has been challenging. Tungsten and ceramic rings don’t provide the assurance that I won’t experience ring avulsion (Google with caution). While silicone rings are affordable, they lack appeal and get dirty quickly, especially if they have any designs.

This ring, however, looks and feels great. It boasts a sleek design that fits both casual and formal settings. The material is incredibly durable—I haven’t managed to scratch it yet, which makes my wife very happy. For any firefighter or anyone who works with their hands, I highly recommend this ring. Truly unique product and super proud that its Canadian!

The wedding isn’t for a few more months but he really wants to wear the ring now. It has a great weight to it, and I’m very happy of the breakaway feature because of his job.

Having heard one too many horror stories about ring avulsion injuries, I was looking around online for a ring I could wear safely. I found a study supporting the safety of silicone rings, but I hate both the look and feel of them. Further searches led me here.
So I reached out to the contact email with some questions about their testing methodology, and Mark got back to me the very same day. He let me know that study I had found had been the inspiration for the testing that they do in house. He was transparent about the criteria they use, a drop force at 0.5 m with a 12-15 lbs. drop weight must cause the ring to safely break, and that although the ring might not be as safe as silicone it was substantially safer than solid metal rings. I felt confident making a purchase.
The ring arrived within 1-2 weeks, and is exactly what I was hoping for. The craftsmanship is excellent and the ring fits comfortably, the interior is polished smooth and the size is perfect. There are subtle breakpoints on either side, but you can't feel them at all while wearing the ring, and anyone casually looking at it on my hand didn't notice them. I would strongly recommend this ring to anyone in the same position as me.

Ordered the ring sizer and was between sizes. I chose wrong and had to get a half size larger. New one sent over right away.

Quality is good and it’s comfortable. Hopefully I never need the breakaway but it’s nice knowing it’s there.

Found these after learning about "degloving" and trying a bunch of silicon rings, which felt cheap and get gross over a few months. The Versa ring is very close to my original tungsten ring and looks excellent. The build quality is very high. One thing I was worried about was whether the seams have any noticeable feel to them but there is absolutely none - polished completely smooth. I bought an extra to have in case this one breaks (as designed!), and may get a third as well, haha.
